After thoughts of a glorious day

Ten years have been and gone since Glasgowbury first opened its doors and this past weekend, 4,000 of you joined us on the side of the hill to help us blow out the candles on a pretty large cake.

What resulted was arguably one of the most special festivals yet and everyone at Glasgowbury would like to thank all of you who helped make the event so special.

Every band worked their collective socks off across five festival stages and we can’t thank all of you who provided the soundtrack to a glorious day in the Sperrins.

The blogs, online and print community have been coming down with pictures, reviews and thoughts from everyone willing to give their two cents, so get in on the act.

UPCOMING RADIO

ATL

ATL got the radio ball rolling on Monday night by playing some exclusive tracks from acts dotted throughout the bill as well as treating us to some of the music recorded specially in the ‘car park creation’ which acted as a make shift acoustic hub.

You can listen back to the show via the iPlayer or use their listen again feature.

And be sure to check out their website soon for some exclusive videos recorded in said hub!

BBC Radio One Introducing NI

As well as recording the entire sets from the Small But Massive Main Stage which Radio One Introducing have sponsored, the Introducing team were also on hand to record the entire G Sessions programme.

Including exclusive sets from Axis Of, Panama Kings, ASIWYFA, Strait Laces, General Fiasco, LaFaro, Fighting With Wire and many more, be sure to listen back and over the coming weeks to hear some exclusive tracks from all of the above.

Sit back, chill out and listen back here.

BBC Electric Mainline

Stephen McCauley from BBC Radio Foyle’s Electric Mainline show spent the day at the festival interviewing and recording artists and festival organiser Paddy Glasgow among other things.

Listen back to his show here for some special words from some special people including, among others, an impromptu acoustic LaFaro track.
