Small But Massive Podcast
Welcome to ‘Small But Massive’ Podcasts hosted by Paddy Glasgow, founder of Glasgowbury, a not for profit Music, Multi Media and Arts resource based in Draperstown in the Sperrin Mountains, Co Derry, NI.
Glasgowbury was 20 years old in 2020, and should have been celebrating this ‘Small But Massive’ milestone with a series of live music events featuring our much loved local artists. The Covid 19 pandemic put a halt to this! Instead we invited some of these local artists to join Paddy as special guests on the podcast, followed by a recorded music session, that you can enjoy in the safety and comfort of your own home!
All guests have an on going connection with Glasgowbury and will be sharing their stories, as well as exploring their musical journeys and chatting about things in life important to them. Paddy has also chatted with some well known and respected people from our local community. These Voices of the Sperrins, tell Paddy stories about their endeavours in the arts and community over the past 60/70 years. Paddy, being Paddy, will bring a bit of random madness and craic to the mix!
Over time, Paddy will be chatting with others he’s met on his thrilling journey as an award winning music festival promoter, a creative resource director and a voice for home grown talent and creative change.
“Times are a changing and now more than ever our creative sector needs your support.
As Confucius rightly says, “Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” Check out the artists, buy their music, their merch, be active on their social media. Support the music makers! Thanks for listening good people” Paddy
The podcasts and music recordings are brought to you by Videographer, Tiarnan Larkin, Studio Engineer, Nathan Murray, and Producer, Caoileann Hegarty.
Thanks to Arts Council of NI (Creative Seeds Fund), Department for Communities (Community Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund) and Mid Ulster District Council for their support.
