Culture Minister Congratulates Paddy On Award Win

Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín has congratulated Paddy Glasgow on winning the ‘Promoter of the Year’ category at the UK Festival Awards.

Paddy won the award at a ceremony in the Roundhouse in London on Monday evening.

The Minister said: “I want to congratulate Paddy on winning this award. This is a significant remarkable achievement given that the Glasgowbury boss was up against such promoter’s as AEG Live, Creamfields, the Isle of Wight festival team and Rob Da Bank.”

“Glasgowbury was first launched in the hinterlands of Ballinascreen in the Sperrins in the year 2000 and has grown in popularity ever since and in 2013, for the first time ever the festival was over a two day period. In support of the City of Culture, Glasgowbury also teamed up with a Derry-based company CultureTECH to bring a technology inspired tent to the festival.”

“Once again, congratulations to Paddy and the whole team at Glasgowbury.”
