Groovemonk and Electrissey take over G Decks

After watching the mastery of Deep Fried Funk at work for the first few months, G Decks will hand the mantle over to two sets of local DJs on Saturday 1st May.

Groovemonk DJs who have supported the Derry outfit in their first number of local ventures will be supported by Electrissey DJs at the next upcoming monthly showcase.

The whole thing kicks off at 9pm this Saturday 1st May at the Cellar Bar in Draperstown and admission is £5.

Deep Fried Funk return for February G Decks

After the sell-out success of the first ever G Decks back in December, Deep Fried Funk will return to the iconic showcase on Saturday 20th February.

The legendary Derry funksters, ably supported by three local DJs, will return to the Cellar Bar in Draperstown to build upon the legend.

Introduced to give young DJs in the area a solid platform to showcase their talents, the second round of G Decks will see another round of innovative and confident musicians at the top of their game.

Doors are at 9pm and admission is £5 before 10pm/£6 afterwards.

DERRY’S most famous dance export and all round legends, Deep Fried Funk have been hand picked to launch the first night in a new series of Glasgowbury based events called G Decks.

The events have been organised in response to a large response and need in the area where a huge number of original dance music artists and lovers have expressed their interest in the genre.

And to launch the new G Decks initiative, the legendary Deep Fried Funk will take over the Cellar Bar in Draperstown on Saturday 5 December for a night of funk fuelled dance mastery.

Regular stage closers at the festival, DFF’s performances have become something of a ritual over the last number of years and their iconic and memorable showcases have the tent packed with lovers of all things music.
