Songs In A Rural Key 2020

It’s with great pride and excitement that Glasgowbury presents the latest ‘Songs in a Rural Key’ CD.

This EP is the culmination of the 2019 workshops, with songs written during the course of the year and recorded in our own Small But Massive studios early 2020. The original tracks, composed by the young music makers with support from their mentors showcases a mix of genres including Rock, Electronic, Pop, R&B.

The kids and ourselves had a lot of fun in the workshops and the studio, making music, making friends, making memories! We hope you enjoy listening to their music as much as we all enjoyed making it!

The Rural Key programme is possible only with funding support and public donations. If you’re in a position to invest in the continued skills and personal development of young people we would love to hear from you!

The 2019/20 recordings and music videos were supported with funding from Awards for All Community Fund and Arts Council of NI Rural Needs Fund.

Small But Massive Podcast #01 – Paul Connolly & Dan Acheson

Episode 1: Paddy’s guests are Paul Connolly and Dan Acheson from The Wood Burning Savages. Join them as they chat about touring, festivals, NI Music Prize and mental health.

Check out the post podcast performance by the lads to see them in a different light. Not their usual giving it dixie on stage but we think this intimate, acoustic performance is something special! Enjoy!
