Glasgowbury Shortlisted in UK Festival Awards

We are delighted at the news that we have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Small Festival’ category of this year’s UK Festival Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Upon hearing the news, Glasgowbury founder and Creative Director Paddy Glasgow said: “It’s a great achievement for a small, rural-based creative business which is in fact a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status to be sharing the stage with such heavy hitters in the festival arena. I’d like to thank everyone who has helped us throughout our 13 years at the heart of new music and to everyone who voted for us to get us this far.

This being the last year of the Glasgowbury festival, it is a great way to close one chapter in the Glasgowbury legacy as we move forward in our new creative hub in Draperstown to deliver a diverse range of programmes and courses for the community and creative individuals.  Watch out for ‘Small But MASSIVE’ event near you!”

The short listing sees Glasgowbury as the sole festival from Northern Ireland to be represented at the awards.

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony at The Roundhouse, London on December 2nd. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all festivals the best of luck in their respective categories.
