For Folk’s sake

Our good friends at Foyle Folk Festival have just announced plans for this year’s proceedings uniting a truck load of the country’s finest folking and non-folking performers for the annual Derry blow-out.

Re-locating to Cafe Del Mondo at Guildhall Square, the festival will spread itself across two days and display 20 acts from right across the Emerald Isle on August 22 and 23.

Keith Harkin, Little Hooks, Paddy Nash, Ten Gallon Hat, The Mighty Stef and Balkan Alien Sound are just some of the varied acts which highlight the diversity of the annual festival.

The festival is being organised by stalwart musical maestro Philip Wallace (Ard Ri, Here Comes The Landed Gentry), who is excited about bringing the cream of the folk crop together for the weekend long event.

Tickets for the event are priced at a very reasonable £10 per day or £16 for a weekend ticket and are available from Cafe Del Mondo in Derry or you can pay at the door on the day (capacity permitting).
